DESCRIPTION

A qualifying learner at this level will be a well-rounded entry-level IT professional in offering Networking Support, with good fundamental knowledge of the Information Technology field, coupled with interpersonal and business skills.

N+ Specialisation is designed for learners who would enjoy the networking. It would also expose learners to basic IT Tech Support knowledge, specialising in networking, troubleshooting and implementation of networks. As an IT Network Technician, you will assist users with electronics and network support, on mainly (but not limited to) desktop and hand-held devices and local area networks.

Learners will also be equipped with a fundamental knowledge of communication and mathematics literacy.

DESCRIPTION

A qualifying learner at this level will be a well-rounded entry-level IT Support professional with good fundamental knowledge of the Information Technology field, coupled with interpersonal and business skills, allowing for specialisation in the Systems Support field of Hardware and Infrastructure Support for Personal Computers. Understanding the different types of computers available and how to do basic maintenance on computers.

Technical support services help the user solve specific problems that are associated with a particular product as opposed to providing training or customisation services. These are technology related products which include computers , televisions, digital video recorders and even cell phones. As an IT Support Technician you will assist users with setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and problems they may have with their computers.

Learners will also be equipped with a fundamental knowledge of communication and mathematics literacy.

DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this qualification is to teach the qualifying student the basic knowledge and understanding of using ICT in an organisation, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. In addition, you will be taking fundamental modules – Communication and Mathematics Literacy.

Individuals who enter this field must have the ability to learn from experience and apply that knowledge to future troubleshooting situations. This programme teaches all the fundamentals and IT principles of computers, and empowers learners to excel confidently in the digital world of End User Computing.
